Dennis (Is it Dennis?) cycling away from Wakefield over the Canal Bridge.
During the ten minutes I spent on the bridge (About 11:00 a.m.), twelve cyclists used it, and one pedestrian. Surely to goodness this indicates that the widths of the carriageways are wrong? We see in this photograph that typically the cars have 8 meters (And if they veer into the cycle route, so what?) pedestrians have three meters and cyclists less than a meter (and woe betide them if they have the audacity to wobble) |
